How will we achieve Sustainable Development Goal 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities?

In September of 2015, at the United Nations in New York, 193 countries adopted “Transforming our world: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development,” and signed up to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. In recognition of the accelerating pace of urbanisation, the 2030 Agenda includes a standalone goal around CITIES; to make them ‘Inclusive Safe, Resilient And Sustainable’.

We’ll be discussing how this can be achieved at a dynamic afternoon event , on the 25th October in Dublin’s Wood Quay Venue. The event is aimed at everyone interested in exploring this question; residents, policy makers, researchers, businesses, designers, NGOs and civil society groups. We hope you might consider attending and if so, please register your interest HERE

If you need further information about the event please email us at: cities@environmentalpillar.ie

This event is part of Convergence festival, a series of conversations across Ireland on sustainability.  See www.cultivate.ie for festival details and Full Programme PDF.

Cultivate will also host a convivial event in the Wood Quay Venue that evening celebrating what makes our communities flourish. This will include complimentary craft beers from O’Hara’s and will be very dynamic and conversational. There are more details here.
